DUAL-CUSTODY SETTLEMENT · CRYPTO ⇄ FIAT

Settlement waits
for both sides.

Paxunia holds both sides of a crypto-for-fiat transfer — the crypto amount and the fiat amount set for that specific case — in segregated custody until each is independently confirmed. The two don't need to reflect a market exchange rate; Paxunia sets the terms per case. Funds release together, or they don't release at all.

HOW TO THINK ABOUT IT

Not a marketplace. Just two people, one transfer.

There's no "buyer" or "seller" on Paxunia, no listings, and no platform matching strangers — you and the other party have already agreed to a private exchange elsewhere. One of you holds crypto, the other holds fiat, and each wants what the other has. The amounts on each side are set by Paxunia for that specific case — they don't have to reflect a live market rate. Paxunia's only job is to make the swap fair: both sides deposit what was agreed, both sides get confirmed independently, and only then does anything move — to either of you.

THE PROCESS

Two legs. One release. Always together.

Every Paxunia case moves through the same sequence — the order is what removes first-mover risk from a crypto trade.

01 — AGREE

Set the terms, get a code

Paxunia sets the crypto asset and amount, the fiat amount, wallet address, and payout method for the case — the two amounts don't need to match a live exchange rate — and issues each party a unique case code.

02 — FUND BOTH LEGS

Crypto and fiat both lock

One side sends crypto to a monitored escrow address; the other sends fiat into a segregated account — there's no fixed "buyer" or "seller," just two people completing a transfer. Each leg locks independently the moment it's confirmed — neither is released yet.

03 — RELEASE TOGETHER

Both, or neither

Once both legs are locked and a dual-control release code is entered, crypto and fiat release simultaneously — logged permanently to an immutable audit trail.

SECURITY, LAYERED

Every layer assumes the one below it might fail.

We don't rely on a single lock. Paxunia stacks independent safeguards around every case, so no one failure — human or technical — can move funds on its own.

Dual-lock release logic

The core mechanism: crypto never releases until fiat is confirmed, and fiat never releases until crypto has enough on-chain confirmations. No exceptions, no manual override for one side alone.

Both, or neither

Dual-control release code

Settling a case requires a separate release authorization code, issued only once both legs are verified — a second key that neither party holds until it's time.

2-of-2 signing

On-chain confirmation monitoring

Crypto deposits are watched live on-chain. A leg isn't considered "locked" until it clears the required number of confirmations for that network.

Live monitoring

Identity & wallet verification

Every account passes ID and liveness checks, and deposit addresses are validated before a case opens. Anonymous accounts can't move funds on Paxunia.

KYC / AML

Real-time fraud & chain analysis

Deposits are screened against known-risk wallets and behavioral signals as they arrive. Anomalies pause the case and route it to human review.

24/7 monitoring

Immutable audit trail

Every event — deposit, confirmation, code entry, release — is written to a tamper-evident ledger with transaction hashes, timestamped end to end.

Enter your case code

Your case code opens the escrow agreement — the amounts, the counterparty, and the live status of both the crypto and fiat legs.

Code not recognized.
Try the demo code 8788R12R12TGS. Codes are issued by Paxunia once both parties confirm an agreement — your counterparty or the Paxunia administrator will send you yours.
01
Enter the code
Paxunia locates the matching transfer on file.
02
Review & confirm
Check the amounts and counterparty before continuing.
03
Track it live
Watch both legs lock, then release together.
Enter a different code

Dual-lock rule: neither leg releases alone. Your counterparty can't access their funds until your leg is locked — and you can't access yours until theirs is. Release requires a separate authorization code, entered by whoever holds it.

Settle this case

Both legs must be locked before release can be authorized.
